After update to iOS 5 my iPad-1 can't add new events to Calendar and Contacts

Bodunrin, thanks, Your solution got me the + and the calendar list but the list only has my gmail calendar (which I don't use, just added it to see if it would show up) and does not show the iCloud calendar even though I have it turned on. At least I can add an event to the iPad iCal now but looks like it's not syncing with the iCloud calendar at all. It was working fine until I did that wonderful update! Thanks a lot Apple!!

Hey people ... How can I restart iCloud without being connected to wi-fi ?? Because when I go to my settings, it only asks me if I want to delete the account ...

And ... Is Siri for iPad 2 too ? ... If I have iPhone4s then why does it not work on iPad 2 too ?

I have done all of the suggested fixes here with no resolve. I however, never lost my ability to add a new activity in my calendar. When I logged into Icloud before trying ANYTHING, my calendar there was also empty. I don't know how this is possible because I had it on in icloud and have for months.

So now everything I had in my calendar appears to be lost.

Again, I can add/edit my calendar as I could before but I have lost ALL prev saved/entered data. Anyone else having this issue?

I am having this problem too--same situation, calendar on iCloud for quite a while, now nothing is showing up. I too have tried every suggested fix I can find. Any help, anyone?

Turn on your icloud contacts and calendars and make sure you merge your contacts and calendars.

I have an iPad three also, and I'm experiencing the same problems. I turned on the iCloud thing, but I have not solved my problem. are there any other suggestions as to how to fix this problem?

NO NEED TO SYNC TO ICLOUD! Found this solution by Seany527 elsewhere on the forums and it worked!

Delete all mail accounts from the device, the + sign on contacts will come back up. Then add each account back (I checked after adding each account to be sure and the + is still there) hope this helps.

The device was new so there were no accounts to delete.
