I filled out the form that LauraMackie sent us from Yahoo. I just got a message from Yahoo that I am duplicating below. It basically says that they changed some settings on the server side and for me to delete my Yahoo account and then add it again. I just did that and it has started pushing again, although who knows how long that will last. So in case it helps, here is the Yahoo response:
Hello,
Thank you for writing to Yahoo! Mobile.
I understand that your Yahoo! email are not being pushed on your iPhone.
We apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused you. Allow me to
look into this.
I have performed some maintenance on the server side of your mailbox and
this should resolve your issue. Kindly remove the email account from
your iPhone and re-add it to trigger a re-sync. You may refer to the
steps below on how to do so:
To remove your Yahoo! Mail account from your iPhone's built in mail
application, please follow the steps below:
1. Open the "Settings" app on your phone.
2. Tap into "Mail, Contacts, Calendars."
3. Tap into your Yahoo! Mail account under the "Accounts" section.
4. Select "Delete Account."
Once you have deleted your account, please use the arrows to go back to
the main settings screen. Once you have returned to the Settings
homepage please attempt to add your Yahoo! Mail account again by
following these steps:
1. Open "Mail, Contacts, Calendars."
2. Select "Add Account..."
3. Choose "Yahoo!" for the mail account type.
4. Fill out the fields supplied ("Name," "Address," "Password," and
"Description").
5. Choose "Next."
6. Select if you want Calendars and Notes On or Off.
7. Tap "Save."
However, should you continue to encounter the issue you are having,
please visit this URL and follow the troubleshooting steps provided:
http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mobile/comms/mail/iphone-04.html
Additionally, if the steps on the help page did not fully resolve your
issue, I'd suggest following these additional steps to continue
troubleshooting:
- Set up your Yahoo! Account on your iPhone using the "Yahoo!" option.
Please make sure that you enter your new password when setting up the
account.
- Make sure that your iPhone is not set to Fetch new mail manually. To
verify this, please take the following steps:
1. Open "Settings."
2. Select "Mail, Contacts, Calendars."
3. Select "Fetch New Data."
4. Ensure that Push is "ON."
Note: Changes you make to the iPhone's email settings do not affect your
settings on your desktop computer.
Please feel free to contact us back should you still have other concerns
or questions. We will be happy to assist you again.
Thank you again for contacting Yahoo! Mobile.
Regards,
Carl
