This is a Yahoo! problem. They acknowledge it but just can't get it sorted!
Where did they acknowledge this? They keep responding to my help requests with links to their support articles. I keep responding that I've tried everything in the artcile and they just send me a link back to the same articile. It's been weeks since I started having this problem and Yahoo refuses to even acknowledge there's an issue.
I've emailed Yahoo about the work around, but they simply keep responding with links such as http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mobile/devices/iphone/iphone-15.html and http://help.yahoo.com/kb/index?locale=en_US&y=PROD_ACCT&page=content&id=SLN3702, neither of which fix the problem.
I tried contacting Apple and they said it's almost certainly a Yahoo problem. Considering someone in my workplace who has an Andriod phone said his Yahoo Mail stopped pushing as well, I'm pretty sure it is a Yahoo issue.
I did find a work around. It's idiotic and makes no sense, but it works. Create a new dummy Yahoo! Mail account and add it to your iPhone/iPad. When I did this, push started working for my real Yahoo! Mail account. The stupid thing is that if I remove the dummy account from my phone then push stops working for my real account, so basically I have to leave a dummy Yahoo! account that I don't use on my phone. I simply set up a filter to delete all mail sent to that account so I don't have to worry about getting junk messages.
