Now that i think about it Romad...you're probably right. Yahoo and Apple probably have a meeting occasionally to blame the other one about what's going on here. But there really is no ramification for not doing anything about it. I mean, what line of communication is there between the consumer and yahoo and/or apple to initiate change in this area? Occupy Yahoo/Apple I say! LOL!

I just received a response from yahoo customer care which I have posted below. I will say its quite humorous considering issues with yahoo mail have been going on, on and off, for over a year.

I was one of the few people who had Yahoo mail pushing with the help of a dummy account. Yesterday, I had to restart my phone for the first time in probably half a year. I realized after my phone booted, my Yahoo mail wasn't pushing anymore. What I did was delete and re-add my dummy account. Thankfully, Yahoo mail started pushing again afterward. I'm beginning to think this is an iPhone issue, and not only a Yahoo issue. What a hassle! #firstworldproblems

Not sure my issue is exactly the same but has similar components. I have 4 devices:

2 iPads, 2 iPhone 4. Each had the same 2 yahoo mail accounts successfully working. Lets call them yahoo mail 1 and yahoo mail 2. When I originally got the 2 iPhones several months ago (iPhone A and IPhone B) I was unable to get yahoo mail 2 to work on IPhone B. It worked fine on all 3 other devices and the yahoo mail 1 worked fine on all 4 devices. One day yahoo mail 2 mysteriously started working. I am not sure what if anything I did.

Fast forward to yesterday. I upgraded 3 devices (one iPad is iPad 1 so couldn't upgrade) to IOS6. 2 out of 3 were successful and there were no issues. iPhone 2 had to be restored by my friends at the Apple store (there was no backup to PC or cloud). I said I'd set up email at home not thinking there would be an issue. Yahoo mail 1 setup easily and with no problems. Not so with the same yahoo mail 2 account. I am now back to several months ago with same problem on same iPhone with same yahoo mail account.

Some things to note: password is the same on yahoo mail 2 as it is on yahoo mail 1. I am afraid to change the password for fear I will lose access for some strange reason on the other devices. Also,The settings are exactly the same across all 4 devices and both accounts.

I thought at a minimum we could share notes and that perhaps someone recently is experiencing the problem and knows the fix

I am vexed!!! Got two yahoo mail acc ( 1st one for work & 2nd for personal) which worked fine. After the latest update the work one just doesn't seem to want to load any of my older emails. I have tried what Sirogi said by moving my September emails to another sub folder using a separate web interface yet still no luck. What's annoying is that the personal one is working fine (the one I don't flipping need!).

Anyone got any ideas as my livelihood is based on the work one? Yahoo and apple have been useless!
