****. I guess your only choice is to turn off push and to fetch until yahoo gets their act together. I did that for a few days and it works. The whole thing is extremely frustrating. It pushed fine for me for the last 3 years on my iphone and stopped a few weeks ago. I've had yahoo mail for 10 years and I've got my website hosting and domain email linked in too so I'm kinda stuck with it.

So - two interesting things happened today. For a fleeting moment it appeared "the push was back"...at least on my phone - but have not seen it since.

Then I also got a followup email from Yahoo mail - as mentioned in my previous posts, I have called Yahoo in the last two days and each time was told they know it's a problem and as far as the CSR knew they were not working on a solution. This email said in part:

"From what I understand, the push mail functionality on your AT&T iPhone

is not working correctly with your Yahoo! Mail account. I am very sorry

for any inconvenience this issue has caused you, and I will be glad to

help you out as best I can.....

...Regarding your issue with the push mail feature on your iPhone, our

Engineering team is already working on the resolution now, and we intend

to have it corrected as soon as possible."

Is it possible that if enough people make enough noise on discussion boards like this it will get more of their attention? Perhaps just wishful thinking on my part.

Let us all know if you see any improvement.

I just tested yahoo again and it still doesn't push. If you kill the mail app in app switcher or respring it will work for 30 seconds and then it stops. Went back to iCloud and it works fine. I'll stick with forwarding to me.com until it gets fixed for good. I got a response from an iOS developer that said to contact AppleCare. Whatever. Good yahoo acknowledges it but I hope they fix it soon. If anyone finds out a good contact to send our displeasure with please share it. I'm just glad that this topic is here so people don't waste their time with "fixes" that don't do anything since it's a yahoo server problem.

I just wanted to chime in here and say that I am having the same issue. It started happening early this week, and I've had my 4s since early November an iOS 5.0.1 since launch. I've even experienced the problem where you try to fetch, press the refresh button in the mail app and nothing happens. Usually I have to hit the back button to how my mail accounts and then go back into "all inboxes" and it will auto-fetch. That problem only happens 25% of the time though. Also, my Gmail pushes without incident.

I've read through the thread and I see that yahoo is working on s fix for their end, which is awesomesauce. I'll probably drop then a line today so that way they can add me as an "affected customer".

Regardless of whether or not I'm paying for Yahoo Plus! I am still a "paying customer". They make money off of my use of their mail system via advertisements. So, when you pay for Plus! It's ad-free. You're paying for a few minor features and the removal of ads, which is the money they'd be making off of you if you were just a regular user anyway.
