How can I roll back from iOS5 to iOS4?

Hello,

I updated my iPad to iOS5. Although I made a backup of it before, I cannot restore it to iOS4.

How can I do it?

Thanks

There is no real technical reason shy restoring can't be allowed.

I was able to get from ios 5 and 5.1 back to 4.1 on my iphone 3gs.

They still signed 4.1. It's down to apple. They should provide a catch all signing of at least one 4.x distro of ios to allow people to at least get back to square one and have the product they originally bought;

minus the poor battery performance

minus the bugs

minus the annoying notifications

missing the lack of siri

missing the sluggishness and freezing.

yes people the next biggest thing is here and it blows ios 5 and 6 out of the water- it's called ios 4.

if apple could make one version of 4 available it would make ALL of these annoyed customers who are going elsewhere stick around.

simples!

A while back, I had backed up the iPad to iTunes (4.5?). Question: is it possibly to restore it back to 4.5 with an iTunes restore, if I'm now running ios6? Thx.

No

Note of caution to anyone considering an upgrade to IOS 6... DON'T DO IT! AutoFill now no longer works on my ipad2.

A word to everyone consideriing an upgrade to iOS 6...DO IT. My iPad 2 works flawlessly after upgrading.
