Why would you want to restore it in the first place? Is there a bug or something?
Anyways, to restore it, go to iTunes, plug in your iPad, and find your iPad on the left sidebar. Then, click "Restore" under Version.
Restore will only restore the current iOS version, and if you're like me, iTunes deleted my copy of 4.3.5 after the installation of 5.0
you MIGHT be able to find the 4.3.5 in your trash. i see something in mine that says ios 4.3.5, but i wouldnt know what to do with it to put it back on your device
@Peatree2
No, I did not find bugs (yet). Simply iOS5 adds many features I do not need and iOS4 was fine for me.
@All
In my case restore only restored the Apps and (most of) the Prefs I had. It did not restore the iOS version.
Thanks all
Did anyone find a solution to this problem?
I have a few apps I used on a daily basis that do not work anymore with iOS 5...
iTunes only lets me restore from the last backup, and AFAIK even if I had a backup from iOS4 I would not be able to rollback from there. Also, according to Apple you can not restore your apps/prefs/etc done in iOS5 to iOS4 devices...
And here's the bug: iCloud DOES NOT WORK!!!
I am a MobileMe user and my address book contains around 560 entries.
I created a new iCloud account (luckily I did not migrate my MobileMe one), I copied everything to the new account on my computer, I synch-ed my iPhone and... 517 addresses. I did it 4 times and I always lose 10% of the entries.
After a few hours I got back to MobileMe. MMe will be available until mid 2012. Up to that date I am not going to buy any new Apple product or any software. If things work (and if the read development team of Apple will have come back from holiday) I may come back then...
I wanted to write "the real development team"
You can restore to any previous version. Open iTunes, select your device, and then click restore buttion while holding the option key. select the location of the downloaded 4.3.5 image file. you can obtain the files from these links(official apple site and links) :

It doesn't work. I get a popup with random error codes explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1275
Tried everything and no way to restore iOS4.
Any idea?

I feel your pain ios5 is creating me issues also. Bluetooth features are not working between my iPhone and iPad.
I found my restore file in the trash can copied it out to my docs and it started the restore back to IOS4 but then I got an error saying that my devise is not elligable to be rolled back! Why would this be - it was running perfectly on 4.3.5 before. Please Please - what to do. I have had one problem after the next since the upgrade and need to roll back for my stuff to work again. Any ideas?
