10.0.1 update corrupted media

After updating to 10.0.1 any footage has, what I can only explain as highlight or blacks warning flashes in green, white and red? Its affecting existing projects plus any new media imported into FCPX....

I've updated to Lion just in case that was the problem but still the flashing effects!! I'm fast running out of ideas on how to solve the issue?

Anyone got any ideas?

I've tried deleting both clips and events, and then re-importing... same result. Also, I've toggled the preferences, optimized & proxy, and still got the same reaults.

The coloring always appears in the dark & bright areas of a clip, almost like it is pointing out areas out of limits... here is a grab from a clip to show the problem.

Hello

I took the mac pro to the apple store yesterday and the decision was to order a new replacement card (same model but a new card all the same). Once it arrives we'll install it and should the problem still exist i was instructed to then contact apple care as they will be able to access other card models for a replacement. I'll report when the new card is installed.

Regards

Krzysztof

Ok I've got a work around after a number of emails and phone conversations with Apple, and the very very efficient and patient Kamilh Elmusbahi on Apples hepl line. A big thanks to her!!!

There seems to be a known issues that's affecting Motion in a similar way but this is apparently the first sign of the same/similar problem in FCPX. Kamilh informs me that this is now being flagged up and steps taken to get it added to the support database online.

The problem seems to be screen profile. I use a color munki to profile and its this that was causing the strange play back. So the workaround for now is to go system preferences>displays>colour and then change the profile.

Although this isn't ideal it does mean that I can edit until the fix appears!!
