The Amazon Kindle app allows you to upload pdfs to the cloud, download, delete, and redownload from the cloud at any time on any device (ios, os x, windows, android). Basically I was just wanting ot know if I could use ibooks and icloud to upload pdfs, download pdfs, delete and then redownload (from my ios devices). It seems this is still impossible.

It's not very elegant, but using Preview I seem to be able to save pdf documents onto iCloud. Export the document and chose 'iCloud' on the 'Where:' selection pulldown...

Oh. Well. Yes I can upload the document this way, and it will show up when opening it in Preview. However I am also not able to view the document on an iOS device. Oh brother...

You can transfer PDFs to your iOS devices by emailing them as attachments from your OS X device to yourself; then when reading the email & PDF attachment on iOS, select the 'share' icon and the 'View in iBooks' option. The PDF will be transferred to iCloud and viewable in iBooks on iOS and OS X!

Yeah, Apple is pretty dumb on this. They should allow you to just drag PDFs to your iCloud rather than the 'email pdf attachment to self' nonsense.
