iCloud .me email not pushing to iOS 5 devices

Well, I did a factory restory and no push. However, I updated my mail settings and added S/MIME (turned it on) and BINGO...PUSH!

So....everyone try that and let me know!

I'm onto bigger and better things. My email now pushes since I switched to the iPhone 4S however my battery life *****.

I too am having issues with iCloud email push on my iPhone 4S. Sometimes it works ok but most of the time it fails to push my email to my iPhone. Very frustrating, I hope Apple are working on this problem and have a fix out soon.

Well, mine failed again.

Changing the settings, restarting, then changing again fixed it. Again.

My "fix" seems to stay in place for about a week each time before I have to re-do it. Really annoying.

I have the latest software all around. I'm on a iPhone 4, not 4S. Mobile Me migrator.

Well I have to agree, also a MobileMe migrator, and even with 5.01 although its better it's still random.

I have a feeling this is how it will be from now on, now that everyone is on the iCloud, our MobileMe days have gone.

was just happening again. Mail was coming in when I looked on the web, but not on the phone. Seems to randomly happen whenever it feels like it

Yes, this works for me too as workaround.

Also a workaround is to generate a new freemail account (google or so) and connect it as second account to your iphone. Don´t delete your MobileMe account.

Now pushmail works again.

I´ve opened a support request.

This issue was a known issue and will be solved with the upcoming updates.

YES !!!!! this worked for both me and my mothers new iPhone 4S THANKS I was wondering about this, now our emails are getting pushed to us. Turning the S/MIME on fixed this for us....

Gonna try this & hope for the best. As has been said, its hit or miss for me I've noticed even with the Mail app open it may not work.
Have a side related question though. Another issue with iCloud I have been having is bookmarks not syncing properly. The bookmarks show up fine in Safari on my Mac but not reflected on the iPhone. I've had to resort to using this guide from time to time, but surely is not what Apple had in mind.
Anyone else here had this issue & know of a fix?

Doesn't seem to have worked for me. Now got an email. Mail on Mac picked it up normal but iPhone, nada. 😟

Yet again this is happening now...im not getting messages unless i go into mail app. What is the deal here????

Got 6 emails in the last hour but wouldnt have known had I not checked the Mail app. Sigh.
