iCloud .me email not pushing to iOS 5 devices

First off, if this is a repeat post please direct me to the existing conversation. As I could not find one I wanted to know if anyone is having an issue with iCloud email being pushed to iOS 5 devices? It seems like the push feature only works when the email app is running in the background and even then it runs very slow. Does anyone know if this is a glitch within iOS5, a server issue, settings issue, etc?

I have already tried deleting the account and re-adding it and various other "fixes" but to no avail. I remember the horrendous rollout of MobileMe and I have a feeling that this is simply more of the same.

I expect mail to work as well as it did in iOS 4: new e-mails should be pushed to my device as soon as they're received - even if I'm using another app; even if the screen is locked.

Right now, I only receive new e-mails when I open the Mail app, even if they're an hour old. That's not push, that's fetch (and yes, I have "push" turned on in settings). And according to this board, it's a widespread issue.

I also have the same problem.

Iphone 4, IOS5.

Since update from 4.3.5 to IOS5 no push anymore. Only if I reboot my Iphone, then push works maybe 3-4 times. Then again not.

I also made a new account at @me.com. Also I deleted my old @me.com on Iphone and connected new.

It works then always 3-4 times (I get then mails via push), then again nothing.

I'm really more and more disappointed about Apple. More and more problems, no matter in what. Expensive technic, but very cheap programmed and most buggy software.

Ok,

I am still experiancing all of the above / previous comments.

Push notifications are somewhat hit or miss. Sometimes they push other times they do not.

This is only ever since migrating from MobileMe to iCloud and using iOS5.

I made an appointment with Apples Tech support and had a phone conversation with there support department.

I explained the issues / problem and they looked into it.

The answer was " We are aware there is a problem with Push notifications with iCloud email, we have our technicians looking into the problem. Please wait for an official announcement and fix "

So Apple are aware of the issue and it is being investigated.

Annoying as it may be coming from a perfect working push mail setup to this, we will just have to "fetch" untill this is resolved.

Thanks

Ben

Same thing for me. Google account push is not working either so it doesn't seem to be an iCloud issue.

To be precise, right after reboot it is working but then stops receiving push notifications again until reboot. "Apple is new Microsoft" as one article say - never experienced so many troubles! (wifi sync stopped working too for both my iDevices).

All my settings are ON and I am having the same problem.

Before I upgraded to iCloud and iOS5 my search function on my iphone wasn't working (and still doesn't find e-mails I have definitely received) but this is just ridiculous.

Apple have to sort this out. Between this, the poor search for MobileMe and the outrageous situation of having to have two Apple IDs, the MobileMe customers are being treated like rubbish.
