How on earth do you turn off 3G on the iPhone 4S that is really stupid if they actually disabled even if it is to make Siri better

Who the heck are you to declare such a thing?

Anyway, whatever your feelings about you-know-what, there have been positive advances in iOS in part due to it (notifications, multitasking, app store etc.) so no need to call a person a troll just because the "evil" word was uttered.

Anyway, 5.1 will bring back the toggle but clearly the function was there all along. Maybe it's thanks to "the-word-that-shall-not-be-named" that this toggle was restored to begin with since it was added not long after the 4S jb was announced.

Report this post if you want, don't care. Just don't act like you own the place.

And from where do you know about what does ios 5.1 have and what it doesn't? In my opinion, first of all that 3G enable-disable button is very important, for millions of users. When you're a tipical iphone user, you don't even realise that the button is missing, and you don't see anything unusual in recharging twice a day. But when you have grater espectations from your idevice, which you paid a lot of money to buy it and to get apps, than it turns out to be a great problem.

I would like to give myself as an example: i personally own an iPhone 3Gs and an 4S, both with 5.0.1. Ok, on 3GS i have no problem.. the button is still there, on 4S i don't have any. I don't use 3G, and if i want to use it i turn it on, browse the web or usually open maps when i'm on the road, and after i'm done with it i close 3G. The second thing is that i live in a small town with poor 3G signal. So, in this case, why to keep 3G enabled with ony 1line of signal instead of full edge? i want to use my device first of all as a PHONE.. but... how? it's 3G but it doesn't work... because i'm at the "edge" of the 3g signal.

I personally think that 3G button must be re-entered in the os.

I am in New Zealand and back in the days when I got the 3GS it drained like crazy unless I turned off the 3G function.

Same with the 4S, it drains like crazy and I tried every single energy saving trick out there.

Please apple, for crying out loud, not all countries in the world have a perfectly covered 3G network. Let me turn 3G off!!!!

As of now, it renders the phone pretty much useless to me unless I run around with phone chargers all over my face. Glad I also have an android. And this triggers me since I am an apple fan boy.

thanks AdnanB for the reply but sorry

No.3 doesn't exist.

I just meant to say we need an option to remove the top sliding banner totally

not to keep it but empty by disable it individually though every app.

its really disturb specially while playing a full screen games it keeps dropping down by mistake

when you tap the top side!!

for example try cut the rope game and tap on the top while playing...
