On the iPhone I sync the calendar and mail (without contacts) with google. I want to move the current Google calendar to iCloud and start syncing with it from now on.
I could export google calendar to an ical file but iCloud calendar doesn't have an import option. I don't have an Apple computer.
So, how can I back up all my google calendar entries into iCloud???

This was the magical sauce I needed. I didn't realize I needed to turn off the existing calendar. This was not obvious at all. You shall henceforth be known as the Phone Whisperer.

Unfortunately, this is no solution for me because I have entries from 2006 in Google calendar and I want to keep them all. 😟
come on people, it has to be an easy way to do this ! 😕
Also, if you don't have access to a Mac, you can export your calendar to ical and email it to yourself and open the calendar on a iOS device that has iCloud set up, that will let you import it.

Just found this thread by Google search. Great solution. Should be able to find this easily on Apple support site, but whatever.....
I had a problem with this. I was able to open the file, but the Add(all) button did not add all. It didn't do anything at all in fact. I could only add entries one at a time.
