how do you change the iOS 5 tabs back to the page of previews

i recently updated my ipad 2 to ios 5 and dislike the new tabs bar at the top of the page and would like to change back to the old full page of previews

You can't go back, Safari on iOS 5+ uses tabbed browsing - you should have a Settings > Safari > Open New Tabs In Background option instead.

If you prefer thumbnail/paged browsing then the free Opera Mini browser supports them to some extent, and I believe that the iCab Mobile browser also does.
