Siri Won't Remember Relationships

Title says it all. Anytime I ask Siri to text my girlfriend, it asks who my girlfriend is and if it should remember the assocation. I give it both answers, and the next time I want to text my girlfriend I have to go through the same ordeal.

How are the relationships stored? Are they part of Contacts? If so, I think you forgot to get the feature to work with Exchange servers. All of my contacts are stored in Office 365, not in Address Book or any other offline format.

Phoney You hit the nail on the head with this answer. it works wonderfully. I had added all my contacts to icloud and was still having problems. Likely because I imported them from gmail. I deleted all icloud contacts, added a single icloud contact with my name. went to the siri options and pointed her to that contact as being me and then manually added the relationships. It worked. Custom labels work to a degree. I added my doctor as a custom label. When I say 'what is my doctoris address' siri will search for local doctors. However if I say 'Who is my doctor' siri will pull up her contact from my gmail contacts.

I still need help on this!! 😟 I, too, have all of my contacts via the Exchange (Gmail) and I followed all of your outlined steps. But when I ask Siri to "Call my mother" or "Call my mom" she tells me that she cannot find my mom in my contacts list. So I went back to the internet looking for tips and found some posts regarding nicknames. So I added nicknames to my mom and dad and when I ask Siri "Call mom" she will ask which number of my mom to call. Using the word "my" seems to be the problem; I think it is because there is something I am not getting right regarding your process and I want to understand so I can fix it so both options work.
