how do i download the ipad manual onto my ipad.

Brand new ipad, not brave enough to IOS5. Friend claims there should be a "books" icon but there isn't. All I want to do is download the manual so I don't have to carry the 154 pieces of paper with me. Please don't mock me for being a stupid PC owner. Not having a good 1st Apple product experience yet

Oh, and if it's not obvious, I'm doing all of this typing from my desktop PC and not the ipad, which i am obviously too stupid to figure out
