Siri- "Sorry, I am having trouble connecting to the network".

When using siri I get the error message, "Sorry, I am having trouble connecting to the network". I have spoken to a few others who receivec the 4s today who are getting the same error message. Does anyone have a fix for this?

It's looks like mine not working, my wife's works like charm with same network and same location.its not at all server issue or network issue. I confirmed that mine is Black and not working while my wife has White IPhone 4s and working fine.

Any guys has white one and still not working please confirm.

I know all Black version had Siri issue.

I'm taking mine back to the store tomorrow as I've discovered that Siri not working is just a symptom of my phone's WiFi not working properly. Symptoms are:

1. Full WiFi signal shown on the home screen.

2. All other devices in the house (HTC Desire, iPad, etc ...) are all working fine.

3. Can't actually browse, receive emails, etc ... on 4S even though connected to WiFi.

4. Understandably Siri is not working under these conditions.

It's really annoying. When browsing, I enter the search and the blue bar simply stays at the left and doesn't move. Turning WiFi on and back off again makes it work correctly.

To those with issues when they're on 3G, etc ... I would be very sceptical about Siri servers being down as there are a million and one reasons as to why you're not actually receiving data signal. However, also see if your phone plays up on WiFi too.

Interesting. Mine acted up with wifi and 3G. I tested several different places around town. If you trade-out, that should solve your wifi issue. Otherwise, I'd recommend disconnecting from the network and reconnecting (remove that network entirely then re-join). If that doesn't work, create a backup via iTunes or iCloud, reset all settings and files, and then restore from backup.

This is an amazing feature and separates this phone from the industry by a mile. Obviously there are going to be a few issues, but it is working near perfect for me. Only one time has it not connected. The more I work with it, the better I get, and the better it gets. I believe this is the future and as usual Apple is out in front.

Friends I show this to are simply amazed. If you're having some issues just be patient. Some of them are probably network and some of them user issues. It's still the future, it's still fun, and we're out in front of everyone else by a mile.

Like a guy said to me at the tennis courts yesterday, "I was perfectly happy with my phone, until now"... that was right after I sent him an email just talking to my phone..

I am having the same problems. It is totally intermittant. I believe it's at the Apple processing end, the netowork she is "not connecting with," is not ATT, Verizon, etc. I've had four bars and still gotten the signal. It's her processing center, and it seems there are high traffic times. Sometimes when I try to use Siri, I can come back in several minutes and it goes from "unable" to working. I'm sure they'll fix this, it's so obviously at their end. Siri is great when it works. It will get straigntened out.

Apple is no doubt monitoring this and if history is any guide, they will post an acknowledgement. That would help.

Back again and Siri has been down for a bit. I say a bit because, I did the Siri reset, which is to turn Siri off then wait a bit and turn her back on. That did nothing, then I moved over to doing a network reset. That did the trick for me, I'm on Verizon, with the 32gb model. I believe this is Apple Network related. I really wish they would just make a simple statement instead of leaving people in the dark. Not everyone reads these helpful forums. I can only imagine the amount of returns to the Apple store due to a "malfuntioning Siri" Again here's hoping it gets fixed or patched.

If it is the phone rather than the network Apple has BIG problems considering how many have been sold.

We are three weeks into this problem and there has been not a word from Apple! Are we all imagining the problem?

Mine has worked fairly well recently except for taking very long to do anything. A simple command such as "set a time for 17 minutes" takes 20 - 30 seconds until it is completed. This over my home wifi connection using an N router.

Would be nice if Apple would deign to at least tell us that they know that there is a problem.

Normally I've had very few problems using Siri. She's usually there and eager to assist me. Today, however, I think she's joined the "OCCUPY" movement and has joined the General Strike...cuz I'm getting no cooperation or work out of here any of the number of times I've tried throughout the day.

Siriously though...Apple REALLY needs to make some kind of "please be patient with us" notice so those of us who've just spent hundreds (nearly a thousand!) of dollars on a new device, of which Siri was the primary reason to do so, won't think that it's something wrong with the hardware in our hands.

C'mon PR people- get it in gear!
