iTunes Match Freezes in Step 2
After multiple attempts, iTunes Match continues to freeze in Step 2. It states 1251 songs checked 0 items remaining. Any suggestions as to how to resolve this issue?

I thought that I may as well give this a go, so I set about it with the appropriate level of scepticism.
Deathorised, rebooted, authorised, turned on match, stuck on level 2.
People may as well give it a go, as it worked for you, but it isn't the solution.
I just did the same: stuck on step 2 -> no solution... (at least for me)
Mine has started going now.
Someone else has reported the same, so I don't know whether it's this solution, or it's just come back online anyway.
No prize for me. The solution did not work for me, too.
Mine seems to have stopped again. It managed about 150 songs and has now frozen.
Still, it's some progress at least.
It's just because 19 other countries have just been switched on. It will settle down - same thing happened when UK et al came on line.
No biggie. Hardly end of the world.

Yes we know. We covered all that ages ago, but thanks for the insight.
No problem. It looks like things are gradually coming back online, so maybe you just hit the timing right, or maybe your solution just gave yours the kick it needed.
As I said, mine started working for a short time not long after trying it, so it possibly does help in some way.
Hu, iTunes matched 3 song for me! Thats 3 songs more, than the last 3 days!!!🙂
Hi,
Looks like Apple solved it. After beeing stuck on 1031 for 1,5 days it currently at step 2 13.000/15.000-ish. Go go Step 3!
Not sure if friendly, or sarcastic. Going with friendly as I'm too nice.
Finally started to work for me too, only one song to go fingers crossed!!
Hi All,
I was thinking of doing the deauthorize mentioned in earlier posts, but just before I went in to itunes and noticed it had started matching again...albeit painfully slowly ...5 minutes to match 1 song
Hope this helps others
Bit of both really. Sorry, I've been on here too much over the past few days, generally seeing the same questions over and over.
I would say however, that whilst I agree it's not a biggie in the scheme of things, a bit of communication would help.
Leaving people in the dark just breeds frustration, and for those of us who spend some of our time here trying to help people out the frustration is easy to see, especially when emails from Apple sometimes suggest that they don't even realise there is a problem.
The downtime isn't a major issue for me, but an acknowledgement from Apple, along whatever info they can give as to possible resolution time would really help.
Perhaps even changing the iCloud status page from saying there are no issues would have been a start.
