iOS5 bugs (iPod Touch 4G)

iPod Touch 4G updated to iOS 5. Cover Flow is very slow and laggy, Youtube and Facebook (already updated for iOS 5) are laggy too. But most of all the homescreen sometimes freezes for a few seconds after unlocking the display. Finally the device is in general slower than before (iOS 4.3.5).

Is someone experiencing the same issues?

Please help .

I believe my problem is that I toggle Airplane Mode on and off quite a bit (I don't like keeping wireless on when I'm not using it). Toggling Airplane Mode on will turn Bluetooth off and turning it off will reactivate Bluetooth.

However, if you leave Airplane Mode Off, but instead toggle the wireless on and off, it doesn't affect Bluetooth.

I don't know if this helps anyone, but just posting my observations!

Sjazbec! Yours is the BEST advice I found to minimize the terrible lagging of my lock screen and apps! I never knew you could stop apps from running in the background by double-clicking your home button and then pressing on each app until the red minus sign appears, and clicking once again to close the app. I still experience Safari lag currently, but my lock-screen and transition animations and my apps themselves run so much better. I had no idea how much resource hogging was going on. (I've nosied around the forums for years but never created an Apple Forum ID until I found your advice and wanted everybody to know Sjazbec's advice helped alot!) THANK YOU! GTO (Pittsburgh)

The same thing is happening to me and i didnt know what to do and i was tired of the lagging and everything so i found a comment saying that you could turn off your wifi and double tap the home button and cancel all the apps that are running and then hold the Home button and Power button (at the same time) and that helped cure the lagging and crahses a little bit. I hope this kinda helps😀
