I'd sure like to be sure this works before I try yet another solution. If you read my post about unsuccessful installation on Win7 64-bit, you'll understand. I lost data on my PC because of iCloud, totally irretrievable e-mails. Dozens of tries, no success. So tell me how I do this and when do I run the Apple Software Update...is that iTunes on the PC? Pardon if that's a silly question, but I don't want more headaches. Thanks!

None of this works for me. iCloud doesn't work at all. So I decided to uninstall it and re-install it. I'm on windows 7 64 bit. So I uninstalled it and tried re-installing it with the Apple Update utility. No good. Gives me the error message everyone else is talking about. So I tried just downloading it right from Apple's site. Still same error. It just reassures me that Apple couldn't care less about proper testing, or about anything for that matter. I'm ready to dump my iphone and everything with an Apple logo on it from all the problems they've caused and then they act like they're God when you try to talk to them to get help. Thumbs down for all Apple junk.

Thanks for the heads up, thought your way would work but no luck. Tried doing it both ways, several times (Windows 7) but while it successfully downloads, it just won't launch. I work on both Mac and PC for work purposes and have had so many issues because of Apple's restrictions on their technology. It's no wonder that their shares and market capitalization has taken a nose dive. That's what you get when you no longer have a visionary at the helm. Wake up Apple because very soon SAMSUNG is going to kick your ***!!
