I, like many of you, experience the same issue.. find this (or other) discussion thread... and now post about it. Is this the right forum?? Does anyone from Apple even read this stuff to see how dissatisfied their users are?? Is there a better place to post this??

Also, Apple should institute a 'Me Too' button so I/we don't have to sift through pages and pages of 'me too' responses hoping someone may have found an answer. And again, is this the right forum for this suggestion?

Here's to hoping that Apple does something... anything.

Both my iPhone 4S and the wife's iPhone 4 are throwing up this error regularly. It's really annoying because iTunes freezes and it interferes with Airplay and GarageBand when I import from iTunes. I use only 3 x Apple Airport Express units for wifi. It's very sad, the days of 'it just works' have passed away. I wish Apple would stop the headlong rush to bring out new (half baked) features and just sort out what we've got.

I'm wondering if any Mac OSX users experiencing this have either Epson printer (and upgraded recently when Epson released new driver software updates), updated Skype recently, updated iOS, iTunes, Lion or all of the above with an Apple 1.0 Extreme Base station and/or a non-apple time machine connected via USB to that device?

I ask because the following all seems to have happened recently:

  • This error with my iPhone 4 and iPad (all 5.1 and my mac is 10.7.3), including other "cannnot connect" errors
  • Epson Artisan 837 errors communicating with printer (connected via wifi) and scanner intermittently
  • Skype dropouts
  • Loss of connection with base station

Might be too long of a list here but thought I"d try...

That sounds like a broader problem - I would first suggest scanning wireless channels to see if you're "sharing" (conflicting) a wireless channel in the range of your wireless router / devices (i.e. someone else's wireless network interfering with yours on the same channel).

On Windows, inSSIDer is a great tool for this - not sure if there is a version for Mac, but there will be a similar tool somewhere.

I still have to sync with iTunes for my podcasts.

(You can get them on-device, but I have yet to to figure out how to subscribe (IE, get new episodes automatically. I don't want to have to go "Get New.." manually...).

iCloud - cool

Match - cool.

Podcasts - iTunes

But they will not fix it. They don;t need to, and don't care....

And why do they not care? Because in spite of all this we still just cannot wait to keep tossing more money at them.....
