YouTube won't connect after ios 5 update

i have 3gs and have same problem. I restored twice and no use. cannot find any related answer !

Same problem here and I'm on the iPhone 4,

I can connect to YouTube When using wifi

but not when on the mobile carriers 3G signal

It must be a problem with the update to ios 5

as this worked fine Prior to the upgrade to ios 5

And I tried on an android phone same carrier exact same area

And it could connect.

Where can you submin a bug to apple?

Same problem with my ipad2, same error message, have to be a big on IOS 5!

Ok. This is funny, but I went to YouTube.com thru safari and signed in. It works great . So I am using that until Apple gives us some attention.

I have the same problem with YouTube on WiFi but not on 3G. Issue happens in the YouTube App or in Safari. When I try to see a video the App or Safari try to connect for minutes and shows a balloon "unknown error" in the App or a blank QuickTime logo in Safari. As an annoying workaround, I switch to 3G to get the video started and then switch to WiFi to speed up. I already reset Network Settings. Help!!

Whenever I try to load a video a get an message box with the following, "unknown error" with the youtube app. This happens on both our iPhone 4s phones and ipad 2 with ios 5. It does it on wifi or 3g, how is this not everywhere on the web? I find it hard that it believe that all three of our devices do it, and there isn't a lot more.

It does seem to only not work wifi.

Please apple fix this problem, my iphone 4, ipad 2 have same problem

I fixed my problem by removing loads of Apps and resync'ing a smaller amount of apps....

now i can connect to youtube over 3g and wifi..

I seemed to be getting loads of out of memory messages,

now with a lower amount of apps it seems to be working fine..

luckly for me i has loads of apps i could remove..

(maybe it's worth a try ? )

the above reply is not sensible...why on earth would you remove loads of apps just to fix your YouTube? Apple needs to fix this issue. It shouldn't matter how many apps I have on my device, unless I am critically low on space. I have the iPhone 4S 32GB w/ 19 GB free, so I highly doubt that is the issue.

I completely agree with you mattykaz85 , if iphone cant handle the ammount of apps the owner wants, then they should start making 2GB iphones!!!, We also have a 32 GB iphone and its just absurd to remove apps to make other apps work.

Wow! closed systems!, they make their hardware and software and have this issues, I would understand this from Android but not from apple.

YouTube unknown error when in app loading. Won't load in safari either. Can't play any YouTube vids. Tried closing all apps, updating, rebooting, resetting. *****!
