I don't really buy the, "but, but, it's a beta version" argument. Most of the betas I have used have had some level of functionality. Siri has been nearly a complete failure so far. It hardly ever works on my phone just like countless others.

It is definitely a cool feature, but they really should have been farther along before they made it the centerpiece of the latest phone release.

Much of the advertising for the 4S is based solely on how cool Siri is. They shouldn't build a campaign around something that has almost no current practical use.

The problem may be the "BETA THING" and it does say beta on the website but

NOWHERE IN THE COMMERCIALS TO SELL SIRI to you and me. I think that's misleading.

I spent the better part of 90 minutes on the phone with Sprint then Apple trying to track down the problem.

Sprint seemed almost surprised that SIRI wasn't connecting. Apple said it might be down for service, then it's probably a local problem in my area and finally reminded me that's it's a BETA version.

I still like the phone even with SIRI up & down. It's just frustrating. I think Apple should have been more explicit.

For the price of apple products all the features and functions should just work out of the box. I have an Imac, macbook pro, mac book air, every apple device has had a problem. It's not like we are paying for low end items here. On every single product I have had I just don't understand why apple can not just admit that they are having a problem either. Their tech support people will have you try everyhing on your end and will act like your the first person calling in with a problem.

I have a 30 day return available with Sam's Club. Think I'm going to use it and go back to my 3G and wait for the 5. The Siri function worked perfectly for about 3 days then this network problem. Not good...beta or not.

The first 4s burned up due to a bad battery....next day after getting it. Had to wait a week and a half for more to come in then settled for a white one.

For some perhaps it is back up. I used it this morning and as long as you didn't ask for something it had to look up like the weather you were OK. If I asked to play a song in my iTunes library on my phone it worked. But since about 3PM Central time I get "unable to connect to the network" still. I would hate to work in a store trying to demo the iPhone 4S and have all this going on. They should probably consider suspending the TV ads showing how cool Siri is till they can get their s**t together. I wonder if it's network bandwith they don't have enough of or if they didn't dedicate enough servers to this? It could be network bandwidth as they have delayed iTunes Match which will consume vast network resources. I would hope their engineers are working though he weekend to get this up. It wouldn't be a big deal if it wasn't for the fact that Siri is a main driver of 4S sales.

Still can't connect to network -Siri.
