Same here, tried turning off Siri, resetting network connections, then restarting Siri, still nothing.

Been inoperable all day today, worked fine beforehand.

Having the same problem... Worked yesterday and not at all today.  Went through all the fixes.  Just talked to Applecare and they said they were having server issues....  Over-loaded & working on it.  Said it's still in Beta and they have things to work out.  Said when they release the non beta all will be working.  In the mean time he said try it later and see if they've resolved the issues.  If not, call back tomorrow...  Bummer...  Iguess everyone is trying to show off Siri at the same time....  Looks like Apple may need a few more server farms....

Not able to connect. Does anyone know if Siri is still out?

Yeah its because it is a BETA version of the software and a veryy complex voice-integrated software Apple is working on patchs and They waited for one of the way more complex voice softwares to do this it is very technical and just needs adjustments like every piece of new software/hardware. Just hang in there and it will be golden!

2 days now with SIRI MIA. It's such a great feature, I can't believe Apple isn't being more proactive about communicating to its users about what's going on and when we might expect a fix.

i got it to give me a forcast a few min ago but now its back to cannot connect to the net work message

It's down again for me as well.  I don't use Siri much, but the voice to text dictation is directly tied to it apparently.  So, with Siri down...I can't use it.  Two days in a row now.

I get can't connect to network too when I try to use Siri.  What is going on?  Is this a Microsoft product?  Low blow, I know.  This kind of stuff makes Apple look bad though and I have a lot invested in Apple stock.  Come on guys get this working reliably please.

This is really rudundant, but i want to vent. I upgraded to iPhone 4S yesterday because i thought siri would be a great benefit while driving, etc....this is just so typical. i have not been able to use it since i purchased the phone. spotty yesterday...down all day today. LAME!!!!!!!!

    I understand your frustration, but...

Apple took the unusual (for them) step of releasing Siri as a public beta. (To my recollection, they haven't done that since the public beta release of OS X in 2000.) It is generally understood that "beta" means that the product is still in development and may not work as one would expect a final-release product to work.

The Siri feature is clearly marked as beta (see below) on the Apple website. It was stated in the October 4 announcement event, which is viewable on the Apple website, that the service is beta. Nobody tricked anyone into buying the phone under the guise that Siri was fully developed.

That is true.  I guess I forgot it is beta software.  Thanks for the reminder.

I have had my 4S for 3 days. Siri rarely works and I am about to return it. How in the world did Apple put this on the market. Maybe I should have been smarter and waited for the iPhone 5.
