Deleting email in iCloud
Seems that my iCloud email on my Mac is not syncing with iCloud. My messages that I delete on my Mac keep reappearing and won't delete until I delete them using iCloud on-line! How do I fix this?!?
Thanks.

C4po- have you tried this? In Mail go up to the menubar under Mailbox and select synchronize "iCloud".
I am assuming that in system preferences in the Mail, Contacts, and Calendars pane you have only 1 Mail program listed and that is iCloud. Is this correct? Is this also true on any iOS5 devices you may have?
I actually had google mail as well as iCloud - googlemail is working perfectly, and like other respondents iCloud seems to work well on my iOS5 devices.
However, I seem to have some success - I closed down all applications, and did a hard reset on my mac. I then deleted my iCloud account and once again did a hard reset. When I restarted everything, went into iCloud and reactivated mail as per your instructions it now seems to work. The trick, it seems, was to properly close down everything.
It may be related but in the process of closing down everything my iCal was stuck and had to be manually closed. And my BBC iPlayer also crashed on start up and had to be manually restarted.
Thanks for your help, Norman.
That's great it now works! The key to the Cloud is that it is the final arbiter-the ultimate copy. So,the way to reset things is to delete the local copies and let the cloud replace with it's copy.
Thank you, Norman, for the suggestion. I was having issues not only with mail not deleting, but with it moving back into my general in-box after I had moved it to a folder. Your suggestion seems to have fixed the problem. Thanks!
Hi Right I'm going to try what you have done, but what is a 'hard reset'??
Thanks for the help Norman. Same for me, unchecking then rechecking the Mail and Notes box did not work but clicking the sychronize iCloud option did. Seems to me that function should be automatic, and I probably wouldn't have found it. I was at the Genius Bar yesterday and they also said you can sign into iCloud and delete from there. I had been a MobileMe user but rarely ever signed in. Kind of thought that would be the case with iCloud.
Thankyou Norman from me too.
I took the belt and braces approach and deleted the icloud account from Mail Preferences, then signed out on system preferences, then restarted the iMac.
When I signed in again in System Preferences it was cured. Hurrah! What a relief to get some workability back to my Mail
Thankyou all for your advice and help
