iPhone 4S - Outgoing call no audio

I just updated 5.1 onto my iPhone 4 and it didn't work. This is kinda upsetting after all this time.

Made arround 10 calls after the update so far so good no OCNA issues at all

I gave this much more than 4 hours because I was on 5.1 beta 3 for more than a month already. Now I am happy that this is finally addressed and fixed bz official software.

I know this is slightly off topic, but after I updated my iPhone to iOS 5.1 to see if it resolved the OCNA issue, I noticed that my data network now says 4G. Lol, did apple figure out a way to upgrade my phone's radio over the air? Anybody else notice this?

Just upgraded mine to 5.1 and it got fixed!!! it got fixed!!!!

I updated and it is definitely clearer than it was (no hollow echo) but I still seem to have the "Can you hear me? How about now?" issue. Have to drop it away from my ear, then put it back and it seems to be ok then. Thing is, you don't know whether the other person can hear you or not. So you have to ask. Bummer...

The ability to do wireless software upgrades is really nice!

Ergo . . . a HARDWARE problem, not software problem (for many of us).

Just updated to 5.1, the issue appears to be fixed 20/20 calls and no OCNA at all

I will finally delete this forum from my bookmarks ... 3 months later!!!

Hi Antonio, U update to IOS 5.1 thru wifi without using itunes right? Did u on the airplane mode but on back the wifi while updating it so it would not be interrupted by calls, sms & etc? It's does not affect all our existing data after updating right? So do u backup your data thru icloud or itunes before updating it & restore it back? Is it a new built-in apps "photo booth" after updating?

Did anybody know that if we buy a new iphone 4S now, is it pre-installed with IOS 5.1?

I went to Itunes to try and reset but won't work!! help

Solution is quite simple but you need to know.

Connect your iPhone to iTunes and keep holding home and power button until iTunes gives message it found an iPhone in repair mode.than select restore your phone (after making back-up off course)

Your iPhone will normally be reset to 5.0.1

After that you do the software update via the phone itself and there you go you'll have the official iOS 5.1.
