iPhone 4 upgraded to iOS5, now Bose SoundDock not working

I upgraded to iOS5 on my iPhone 4, and now it does not work with my Bose SoundDock. Does anyone have any ideas what caused this? I went to best buy and it works on other docking products. I'm hoping it's a bug, but if other people have this issue (or they upgraded and it's working fine) please comment.

thanks!

I have 3 docks in two locations. My iPhone 4 still charges and plays music with the JBL. However, it will no longer play music with the Bose or Phillips -- it will, however, charge. For those who believe the iPhone case is the problem, it is not. First, I have tried it both with and without the case. Second, prior to iOS 5, I was able to use all of the docks while the case was on the iPhone. . . that's why I bought a non-obtrusive case. My boyfriend's iPhone 3G works just fine on all three devices. Of course, he is not on iOS 5. It seems abundantly clear that the problem is with iOS 5 as that is the only thing that changed.

Well, that was fast. I started the music on my phone, then set it in the docking port. No sound at all. I unplugged the Altec and plugged it back in while the phone was in the dock. It started playing through the speaker immediately. I switched to the other dock and it didn't work. Unplugged and plugged the speaker again and magically dock #2 started working as well.

Hope it's that easy for others. I don't know if that'll be a permanent fix or if I'll have to repeat.

Well our boys in SV have a big Problem now! I'm sitting in Germany and have the same problem like all of you here!

My iPhone 4 16GB is working with no sounddock anymore! I tested it here with mine at home, with 10 in a retail store and everywhere the same Problem! It's clear that if you spit the ipod app in two apps that you have to make sure that the source Programming for old Output devices made for Apple are still running! So dear Apple so please fix this, or we all with the same problem gonna see each other in front of Court!

Same Issue. My Sony ICF-Cl75ip would act wierd with iphone 4. Then when i updated the iphone software it refuses to work at all, even with IOS 4. It always worked fine with it, despite Sony's claims that they can't ensure compatiblity past 3GS, which is bull since it worked fine. I even updated the dock software to no avail. Such an expensive multi function dock and now what!

I have had similar problems with my iphone 4s and my Sounddock II. Before the OS upgrade, my iphone charged and the remote worked... Since the upgrade, the phone intermittently charges, but my bose remote no longer controls the dock in the slightest. However, the speakers have continued to work.

Has anyone found any solutions to this problem? I have had many problems since upgrading the OS and have been so disappointed.

Hello my iPhone 4 with the latest iOS update no longer plays music through my Bose Sounddock. The dock detects the iphone, states that charging is not possible (which is fine), however music cannot be heard when a song is played. What is causing the issue? Any help would be appreciated as I suspect it is ioS 5.xx just like everyone else.

Please note that my old iPod still plays music through the Sound dock.
