I updated to ios 5 which is not a beta but my game center hasn't changed. Why is this happening? Is it my apple id ?

Yeah. I noticed that the option wasn't there in GameCenter when I upgraded to iOS 5 when it came out. I just upgraded to iOS 5.0.1 and the same problem was still here.
Well I said we could hope. Maybe some other update. Please don't think that I know whats happening. I know just as much as you do
I'm having exactly the same problem even updating to ios 5.0.1 It is not your device it's something to do with your apple id
i know what the problem is because it happend to me and i figured out what was wrong. if you used to have gamecenter before ios 5 was realesed and you still use the same account thats why, if you want a profile picture you have to make a new account. 🙂
Sorry to kill your idea here buy my friend had an GC id way before iOS 5 came out but he still has a pic and status bar. Also I got the id after him so your idea is not the problem. Maybe it's to do with credit card details because I haven't got any card details on mine.
if you make a new account on gamecenter it should work

I made a game center account on release(4.1 I think) and for a few days the status bar worked then disappeared amediately after making a status and never saved it and I restored, updated but no luck it's been the same on the three iPhone 4 through every update ive been through and now on my 4s on 5.0 it's still has no status bar or picture I really want to know what's going on!?

I tried making two new accounts; it still didn't work for me! >.<
I just made an account for my brothers on theres and they both got status and pic and when I sign into there's on my 4s it shows pic and status but signing back into my account shows no status or pic what's going on apple!
Hey guys I just bought the newest iPad 2 and im having the exact same problem! I made a new account and still! No profile pic! I dont think it has anything to do with uploading ios5 because i have the newest version and it doesnt work. help!

Actually I found out my problem- im not old enough! You have 2 be at least thirteen to have profile pic
And why do you think that you have to be over 13?
I'm 13 and it still won't let me on.. I can't see any other way of solving the problem ourselves.

Answer for First reply: because I tried to make a new account saying i was 13 just 2 test it, and it showed up. I dont use the profile anymore because it was just a test. Answer for second reply: well then i dont know about yours thats really weird wish I could help you with that but I cant sorry :(
