Why cant I put a profile picture and a status on game center?

I already said that... But I guess it's not an age problem, because I'm 19. We really should report this to Apple Developers, but how?

Couldnt you just get their email and send a message? Or do you think that won't be a very accurate way... I wonder if you could go to an apple store and inform them... Maybe not

If any of you want to contact apple w/ email i think they let you on this website go to support then a box will say " contact us" ans " start here"

Well, if you click on "Support" then, inside of "Contact Us" click on "Start Here". After that "iPhone Support" might point you at the right direction. You can call this:

(Which I would, if I lived in the US).

Or click on Express Lane, which will mainly lead you to a phone conversation, again not suitable for me.

Still, it won't work unless a bunch of people report this error.

If you read this, please report the error if you can and post your experience with it here (also, I'm not aware if this technical support can manage this kind of error or comunicate it to whoever can fix it).

Also, if you know any other way of reporting this kind of error, please let me know.

I'm not sure it is the best place for giving this kind of feedback, but it might be.

I suggest that everyone uses the same subject and feedback type, it would make things faster.

I believe some informations like age and which account you use (no need for passwords, only e-mail or Game Center nickname) are important. Also, it is a matter of account, not device. I've logged in on my brother's account and it works properly, the problem is my account.

This is not a solution, :( but it is a diagnostic. What is happening is that we all created our game center accounts before we were 13 and before picture and status existed. Thus, when we turned 13 and iOS 5 came out it didn't update. According to Apple, your age never changes, so before their policy changed that you need to be 13, it still thinks your 12 or whatever is less than 13. I'm guessing the fix for apple would either be to delete everyone's game center accounts,(that would be too hard for everyone who didn't have this problem,) or delete only the people's game center accounts that had this problem,(they would either have to search for accounts under 13, or wait unil we ask them.) So basically, it would be too much time for apple and they wouldn't do it.

Surely they have a sort of simple refresh button to update all the info I created mine when I was under 13 and and I changed it to a year like 1987 but so what your saying there's basically no point in updating birthday info cause they don't update it and it don't matter?!?!

Well... I'm 19 now. I'm sure I didn't create the account before being 13. And also, feedback is very important to companies. We don't know for sure what is the problem here. I believe this might be a constant problem. And also, I don't want to delete my account. We really should give them feedback so that they might fix it. We got nothing to lose.

I suggest all of you emailing apple at once showing it is a constant problem. If you do that, you might have a better chance of apple fixing it

... And by at once, i mean all near the same time, not as soon as you can.

I have an answer. This is happening becuase the account you made is old and is from the earlier iOS 5. They just recently came out with this whole status and picture thing, so I'm not surprised they aren't updating all of the accounts. If you get a new account, with using another apple Id or something, there would be a picture icon like you want. I tested this and it works. THIS *****!!! You DO NOT want to do this!!! You will lose all of your progress, achievements, and crap like that. I am definetely NOT going to do this becuase I am 8th in the world for Elephant Rave all time. Don't think I'm a gamer cause I'm not. Most people don't play the game, so it really isn't that hard. I'm glad if this helped! (it didn't help for me, I still want a picture...)

This really s-ucks. I totally don't want to have to reset my iPod, or my GameCenter. I have a lot of friends and a lot of achievments. Apple needs to get it together, because i don't want to be stuck with a blank profile forever.

Not true. I have only recently made a game center account on 5.1. And it is not the age, I am 15.
