How do I change my iCloud account on my iPhone

I know i'm not the only one who ha the same prb out there, and I read a lots of stuff in the different discussions, but I want to make sure, so let me ask:

my wife and I share the same store account, and somehow when I set up our two iPhones, her iCloud account got attached to my Apple ID. Which obviously is not good, since we don't want to share all contacts and appointments, etc...

So, I just what to change her iCloud account from my apple ID to hers. How do I do that?

I am thinking to delete that account (settings->icloud->delete account), but i want to make sure this is not gonna wipe out all her data.

Also, I read somewhere on the Apple website that once you have attached your device to an iCloud account, you have to wait 90 days before to be able to change account. Is that true? Or deleting account will do it?

Thanks for your help.

I believe that the icloud and old mobileME is natively tied to the appleID and that's the whole point and you will never be able to separate that tie

but I could be wrong

I have a strange problem...

I have two iCloud accounts, one of which I'm phasing out. I have an iMac, iPhone and now an iPad. I deleted the old account from my my iPhone in iCloud settings, then added the new one, same on iMac. Problem: on my iPhone, although settings show my new iCloud email address and settings, when I go to download an app, the pop up window throws up my old iCloud email and wants the old password. There is no way of asking it to reflect the new, the one actually in settings. Can anyone help? Am I missing a trick?

This is really helpful and seemed a good first step, but my issue is that I can't seem to change the app store ID in any way. I can delete the icloud account and reset the phone, but whenever I do the backup it retrieves the old email address as the ID. I got a new phone and during the setup process changed my apple ID and so now it won't work on the old or the new phone. Any ideas anyone?

im having this issue, i get that you are supposed to go and delete your icloud account and then just log back in with the correct one but my problem is that when i try and delete the account it asks for the password of the old account which doesnt exist anymore and therefore wont let me delete it, whats up with that and why didnt my icloud change to my new apple id
