Images missing in PhotoStream

In the last few days I've found that a couple of photos were missed in uploads to PhotoStream even though it's automatic when they're taken on an iPhone.

I went to the photos in camera roll and tried to add them from there but it wouldn't work. So, then, I emailed them to myself, saved them and they showed up in my camera roll again with newly sequenced numbers!! At least they were in PhotoStream! Please does anyone know why? It doesn't seem to leave me with any security in backup of photos via this method.

I have been experiencing problems with My Photo Stream as well. What I ultimately did was create a NEW photo stream by doing the following:

1. Select a picture from iPad/iPhone and click the "Share" button.

2. Select Photo Stream.

3. Select New Photo Stream.

4. Give your New Photo Stream a name (I called mine "Missing Photos").

5. Tap "Next".

6. Add any comments (optional) and then tap "Post".

After Step 6... PRESTO! I could see this new stream on both my iPhone 5 and iPad. Only problem is now I have the luxury to skim through my photos and see which photos are on iPad but not iPhone and vice versa.

Just returned from my vacation and I missed some pics in aperture that haven't been synced from my photostream. I have iOS6. It's really hard to find out which pics are not in the stream. Maybe it's better to return to the old import mechnism. I think maybe only pics I took in flight mode haven't been added to the Stream.

Is somebody from the support team around in this community? Open a ticket! It's a bug!

Aperture photo stream is NOT RELIABLE. I was told over the phone by Apple's tech support this would be the solution for automatically importing photos to Aperture or iPhoto. After trusting it import my photos for the last year I realized that it pretty consistently is MISSING PHOTOS! Which, is a super bummer because they are gone now forever, as I need to consistently free up space by deleting pics on my iPhone.

Apple needs to fix this, it's a bug that is causing a lot of grief. There are many, many, other forums dealing with this topic and the bottom line is Apple should be fixing this instead concentrating on suing competitors over patents, which stifles innovation and ultimately hurts us as consumers. Not impressed apple.

iOS 8.1 and still pictures are not syncing properly from iphone to photostream (yes 20% battery, on wifi, no not reached 1000 limit)

I thought they might show up after a day or two but they're still missing. Some but not all pictures have synced

i.e. leave wifi zone, take a bunch of pictures, rejoin wifi zone, some but not all pics are synced and no it's not ones at the end, it's just plain random and no it's not every single time either

It's very annoying as I'd like to view which pictures to share by previewing them on a screen larger than an iphone (mac, ipad) but that is just not possible

Why is this still happening? Why isn't there a "force resync" option to reconcile the missing pictures?! How hard can it be!!?
