Just updated to 4.4.2, now cannot play any videos.

It appears the problem has been fixed.

I didn't do anything else since my original post where I restarted everything... Everything appears to be working this morning.

Have to say, its a little frustrating that watching local content recorded by my EyeTV got hung up with this problem. Apple doesn't need to know or even authorize my local content...

I'm having the same problem. I can see everything on my Mac but when i try to play it, I get the spinning wheel. Hopefully Apple is looking into this, and will fix it through an update.

So, now it works. I went into the "Audio & Video" menu and changed the video resolution from 720p-60Hz to "Auto". No more spinning wheel.

After a reboot, all working for me this morning. Silly Apple.

I tried a tip from another thread and it worked great. I simply logged out of the iTunes store on my Apple TV box, then logged back in. No problem now.

When I tried to connect with iTunes on my Macbook Pro with the ATV 2 this morning it went through like normal. No need to try all the tips we tried last night. I selected a ripped movie stored in iTunes and it played with no delay. Last night I followed the tip of letting the ball spin for 5 minutes and it finally started.

So apparently Apple found the problem and corrected it. I am surprised that ATV 2 connects to iCloud when playing a ripped DVD movie on your own hard drive??? At least it's working again.

Both my boxes are working now, since a power down over night. I guess the log out of iTunes or whatever might have helped when it was powered down, who knows, but videos work. Weird.

Mine started working again last night. Took a very long time to get thru the spinning wheel, but eventually it did. I have not tried today. I tried to rent a movie from iTunes last night, it downloaded but did not have a chance to play yet.

I am still having the same issue. I have purchased the Psych Season Pass. All 3 of the episodes so far will not play through my Shared Library. I have signed in and out of iTunes, reset the Apple TV, restarted the Apple TV, restarted iTunes and restarted my router. I start the episodes and the spinning wheel just sits there forever. As others have noted, it seems to have coincided with the latest update. What is strange is that all of my other content will play, including other TV Shows. For instance, I have the first 5 seasons of Psych and they all seem to play just fine. I'm only running into the "spinning wheel" on the 3 latest episodes of the show.

After fighting with this for hours tonight, I found something interesting. The 3 newest episodes will still not stream when going into my shared library. But, if I go to the TV Shows menu and select Purchased, those episodes will play from there. BIZARRE. Looks like it has something to do with playing them through the Cloud? Anyone still having this issue? Anyone find a resolution?

Have the same issue. Logging out of iTunes Store only fixed the video for about 30s, then back to the spinning icon.
