How can I get Twitter to make the "Tweet" sound

Why doesn't Twitter want to "Tweet" on my iPhone4 iOS5 I have been through Settings > Sounds >Tweet and selected "Tweet" as the sound to be used as its rather sweet 😉

Under Settings > Notifications > Twitter sounds are turned ON. But when I get a Twitter Notification the sound produced is the "Tri Tone"

When I post a Tweet there is no sound. Can anyone explain how to get Twitter to "Tweet" the birdy sound?

iPhone 4, Windows 7, Home Premium (32bit) + sp1

For me it works only when tweeting directly from an external website.

So I guess this has been going on for a long time. I have just recently started using Twitter and just got aggravated with the same issue. Why after at least 2 1/2 years hasn't this been addressed. I guess no one from Apple monitors these forums! Stupid!

So it's October of 2015 and still no working "Tweet" sound with iPhone? I've had the 5 and now have the 6. All updates have been made to both the app and the phone... I only get the tri-tone for tweets on any of my three twitter accounts. This is BS. Why offer the tone if you aren't going to honor it!?

Why?! OH WHY?!?! Every time the tri tone sounds I think it's me and NO!!! Why can be change to the "tweet" sound yet?? APPLE, instead of upgrading the iPhone every 6 months, can YOU CHANGE THE TWITTER SOUND, please!! PLEASE!!!

The way I understand it is that Twitter will make the Tri Tone sound, like with other Notifications. The Tweet sound happens sometimes when I submit a Tweet from a link in another App. BBCNews used do it, but hasn't since iOS9 update. It all seems rather hit and miss ....

Oh when I submit, yes it does work, but to receive notification from a tweet is when the "tri tone" sounds, which annoys me, because everyone has that tone :/

That could be down to the Twitter App. All Apps I have give the same tri tone sound for Notifications.
