Thanks for your msg.

I beleive that I have the same problem. I have tried exchanging sim cards between two iPhones bought at the same time, and one is always having problem to get back to network, after loosing it.

Moreover, I do not get SMS that are sent to me (while the phone is searching network, or after), nor I get any missed call (and the person that is calling me gets the signal that my phone is ringing!!)

As I find it unacceptable - not to have phone 😟 and morover to lose SMS and missing the calls I will go back to Apple shop and try to have my phone changed too.

Having same issues with iphone4. Had 2 phones for year and a half, no issues. Suddenly 1 of the phones can't find the att network...just "searching". (other phone is working fine) Still can use apps, wi-fi, but not text or calls. Trouble shot with apple, did full restores, and finally replaced phone.

Now still having same problem after week. Just tried the airplane mode on/off. Found network bars, but not att. (I do not keep 3G and data on), went in and turned on 3D and data, and sure enough ATT network popped on and now is working find again. Not sure how long it will last, but great help....THANK YOU, musica_ms.

And yes Apple, you need to fix this problem ASAP, or I am headed back for your genius bar to fix it once and for all.

I had the same problem and it turns out it is not the phone or the sim card. it is tied to your iTunes account. The only fix is to create a new iTunes account then reset the phone back to default and set it up as a new phone using the new account. The problem will disappear. Of course so will all your purchases and gift cards. I am currently fighting with apple to get my stuff transfered to the new account but so far they refuse to help.

Same problem for me, already reset as new iPhone, change SIM card and still have the problem.

Use the same SIM on other phone and it works fine.

Today I visit local carrier service (Telcel in Mexico) and meet people waiting on the line

with the same problem, they just change SIM for free, it works some minutes and later

again 'No Service' or 'No SIM Card Installed'.

I'm having a similiar issue. My iPhone 4 network dropped and then started continually searching for it but with a few strange differences;

- my network still appears in 'Carrier'

- when you send an SMS, the SMS will go through to the other phone but my phone will say that it has not been sent

- when you make a call, the other phone will ring but my phone will say it is still attempting to connect

I tried resetting the network, the phone, everything. When you switch flight mode on and off, occasionally 'searching' will disappear and the network coverage bars will appear but without the carrier symbol/s next to it.

Eventually the network will reappear and the phone will start working again, but then it drops back out. Insanely frustrating, plus it drains the battery continually searching for the network.

Any suggestions?
