How do I retrieve documents from iCloud

Ok gotcha....Thanks....That makes sense as to what they designed I do hope they can make adjustments as time goes on...Makes icloud not a perfect replacement for idisk....

icloud was never meant to be a storage facility. In fact it was always planned as just syncing, nothing more, nothing less. the document facility in icloud.com exists only because of the ios iwork apps . In fact it can't even be accessed if no idevice with these apps is present. So it is definately not designed for Mac's iwork09.

As Sjazbec says, iCloud is not a replacement for iDisk. If you want an alternative to iDisk then look at free cloud services like Dropbox.

I am also having problems with downloading documents from icloud onto my mac. My ipad and mac are up to date. The documents, that were created in ipad, state that they have been uploaded to icloud. When i go to icloud instead of a small pic of the document showing what they are there is only the pages icon. When i try to download to my mac it states that the document cant be downloaded. I have the up to date pages on my mac so what is the problem?

Same here for me. Documents are shown on iCloud.com but neither are downloaded on iPad nor on Mac.

How do iget them back?

I might want a manual way of getting my Numbers file back that won't sync ever since my iPad had a restore done on it from the iCloud. I have the same problem with my iPhone which was also restored recently and on which I can see the numbers file icon in the listing of spreadsheets in Numbers but the file just shows a progress bar and does not actually become available. I can't even get success by deleting the file and bringing it back by turning off document and data syncing.

Any ideas?
