Well if you were to try and order an Ipad 3G + WiFi from the Apple Store online, it asks you to choose a carrier and then specifically says "Your iPad will work only with the carrier you choose."

So let's give Yomme12 some credit that the issue he has might be legit if Apple and the Teleco vendors in the US have somehow agreed to lock the iPad 3G + WiFi.

If that proves to be the case, I don't know how you unlock it other than through the Teleco vendor or jailbreaking it.

That is totally wrong information you are purporting here!

The only iPad, which is locked to a certain carrier is the iPad + 3G for Verizon. It does not even have a micro-SIM card tray.

If you own an iPad + 3G with a micro-SIM card tray, which already contains a micro-SIM card, and if you want to move to another carrier, simply remove the existing micro-SIM card and pop in the one from the new carrier.

As simple as that!
