Since "upgrading" to IOS 5, I now call my my 32 GB iPhone 3GS my iCrash 3GS-ucks. Battery life is dismal and it crashes constantly (5 to 20 times per hour during use) for what appears to be lack of memory. Even when running only one program free memory is as low as 40 K! and many times its down to 2.3 K! I'm sure when it crashes that even that last 2.3 K is used up. I tried shutting off then turning it back on, I reset it by holding the Sleep/Wake button & Home button simultaneously and finally did a Reset and Restore as new. All I got for my trouble was the loss of all new data (contacts, notes, emails and more) since my last computer sync and all pictures that were on the phone. It doesn't matter what I'm doing when it crashes. It crashes during phone calls, while reading or writing texts, watching YouTube videos, when I'm checking the settings and more. For all the Microsoft bashing Apple & their supports do, they' actually have all the problems they accuse Microsoft of but two-fold. Support from Apple is worthless. They created the problem with their product but they want to charge me money if I want their help. BULL!!!!!!!!! Besides those problems, Apple neutered the 3GS w/ IOS 5 by preventing Siri from working on it now. Again, that's BULL!!!!!!! Apple is obviously trying to force users to spend more money and change phones to the 4S. I've got news, proprietary garbage like that that Apple pulls all the time will cause users to change phones all right, change to a different provider altogether. Don't get me started on their non-user-replaceable battery, lack of USB or HDMI ports and no SD card slot. Chrysler tried the proprietary path along with planned obselence on great products and it forced them into bankruptcy. Apple will eventually hit the same wall. Android is looking better all the time. I can get a good Android phone with an UNLIMITED Internet/Data/Text plan from Virgin Mobile @ $30/month or Republic Wireless for $19/month! Then I'll just cancel my iPhone's $80/month AT&T plan and tether it through the Android phone by WiFi for Internet access for free so Apple doesn't get any more of my money. Then once I get Android apps to replace the iPhone apps, I'll use my iPhone for target practice and say good by to Apple forever.

I ran the update on my iPhone 4 yesterday and have been glued to my charger for the last 2 days. I was so happy with my iPhone since I have had it but it is useless when it becomes a paper weight after only a couple of hours. For the reputation Apple has it is very upsetting that this has happened! There is obviously a problem Apple! FIX IT! Why should I have to stop running everything and turn off services when this wasn't an issue before! Please Apple get it together!
