Email search at iCloud.com does not work

No matter what I enter into the search field, iCloud Mail always returns "0 matching results" -- Is this a known issue that others are experiencing?

This is happening to me when I use web mail at iCloud.com. I am not sure if this occurs when using a desktop email client.

Thank you.

Mine has been broken for years and Apple refuses to help. I have bought numerous iPads, iPhones, iPods, MacBooks, MacPros, Watches etc. and they won't help.

It makes me worried to be a shareholder that one day others will see how terrible Apple's services are and how Luca and Tim are trying to paint Apple as having future revenue growth from their service subscriptions. Clearly they are no where close to the quality of their competitors.

I finally stumbled across the solution to searching within the iCloud webmail system. This problem, like everyone else, frustrated me beyond words. This is what works for me: Go to the search bar within the webmail client; then type in your search term; DO NOT HIT THE RETURN KEY AND/OR DO NOT CLICK ON THE SEARCH ICON THAT LOOKS LIKE A MAGNIFYING GLASS; leave the search term there, after about 4-5 seconds the search initiates without causing the error message and freezing up your mailbox. I now have no problems using this function and I hope it is the same for you. I use El Capitan 10.11.6 and Safari 9.1.2. I have not tried it on Chrome and FireFox yet.
