How can I sort my projects manually?

How can I sort my projects manually in Aperture 3?

When I try to move a project up or down, it doesn't stay at the position where I want it, but jumps to the top!

(I think this worked before, but now not any more.)

Thanks.

I had no idea Folders kept their own sort orders 😮. I have used creative naming to keep my containers sorted the way I want when sorting the entire Library hierarchy alphabetically on "Name". This new knowledge is _very_ helpful. Thank you!

Any way of either:

- getting Folders to preceed Projects when sorted by "Kind"? or

- sorting by "Kind" _descending_?

This reminds me of one the things that still bothers me on the Mac platform: folders (in the Finder) are sorted along with items-not-in-folders. No physical filing system I've ever used interleaves containers and bottom-level items that way -- perhaps you (Frank) or Léonie can provide an engineer's perspective on the difference.

Well, I am happy that we are allowed to file items of different classes (albums, books, proects) in the same container, but what is missing, and is very high on my list of wishes for AP4 is the possibilit to use secondary (or more) sorting criteria:

sort first by kind, thenwithin the same kind by date, then within date by rating...
