I'm trying to create a DVD using idvd from the edited version in FCPX. I created chapter markers and need those to transfer to idvd like it used to from iMovie. I did buy compressor because I thought that would help but I still can't figure it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Try exporting it from Compressor using the Apple Intermediate Codec.
So I changed to above Codec and 1 hour into it, we lost our power! Computer off! I tried it again and I'm so confused with what's what - it said the size was 496.8 GB. Since I no longer have that much on my computer, I quit it. So, I'm going to start from scratch with a new project. PLEASE take me through the steps from FCP. . You said that I don't "send to compressor" so what do I select? Export Media? Export using compressor settings? If Export Media it asks me which settings. Apple Intermediate Codec is not there. Is that the "current settings" I should use? Or should I switch it to Apple Pro Res 422 or 422 HQ? I need to learn this! Argh!
I made a movie in FCPX and added chapter markers. I need to get the movie to idvd with markers intact.
