IPhone 4S Not adjusting to Correct Location after Day Light Saving Change. Anyone Else? Shows I am in New York Not Central Time Zone where I actually am

After the Time change my phone thinks I am in eastern time zone when I am in central. Anyone else?

Here was my problem this morning. The "old" time would have been 11:00am, the "new" time was actually 10:00am, but my phone displayed 9:00am. I live in Florida so not sure why the time would have fallen back by 2 hours. Going into airplane mode and back again forced the phone to move forward by an hour from 9 to 10, so now it is correct, but I have no more confidence in Apple ever knowing what to do with time zones.

Apple should include this information in their documentation when they sell a phone "Must manually reset phone everytime there is a change to Daylight Savings Time or back again". At least it would be honest.

Same problem here... My iPhone 4S was displaying the wrong time (one hour behind what it should have been) this morning. Upon checking the settings, it indicated that my Time Zone was Chicago when it should have been New York! I restarted the phone and it the displayed the right time and Time Zone. A good thing the clocks were going backwards or I might have been late for my Sunday Golf 😟!

Add another here. Am in Central and the phone was showing me in New York. I did an on/off reset and it cleared right up, but obviously some kind of bug that needs to be addressed. Weird that my iPad2 with iOS5 didn't have any problem. I do have the location-based time zone setting on in location services, so not sure what the issue is.

On to iOS 5.0.3 I dare say...

I am in California, but it changed my time zone to Anchorage for some reason, which means I was an hour late to work this morning. 😟 I have it to "Set Automatically". Going into airplane mode, as well as shutting down and restarting did not work. And still does not. 😢

My only fix as of now is to turn the "Set Automatically" off and it returns to "Cupertino" and the correct time. (Immediately upon turning "Set Automatically" on it goes back to Anchorage)

el sigh.

I'm in EST but my iPhone thinks my time zone is AST.

Time zones are all shifting one east?

Ah - people mentioning the DST change. The network carrier reports the time one hour back and the only sense the phone can make of that is that the time zone has changed to one hour earlier (or one zone east!)

hey guys. my wife had this problem with her iPhone 4s but mine was fine. i've hunted high and low on the web but nothing. i think i found a fix. well, it worked for my wifes fone anyway.

* Go to Settings / Location Services

* hiding right down the bottom is System Services. open this.

* there is a "Setting Time Zone" setting. turn to on

this fixed my issue. let me know if it fixes yours too

cheers
