Change home address on iPhone

Hi all...

I just recently moved (last week), and need to figure out where the iPhone stores my home address. For example, using the Reminders app, I can set a reminder for "when I get home". However, the old address is stored there, and I don't know where to set it (I'm not sure I ever even set it the first time).

Also... I see it has a spot for my work address... but also no where to set it.

Can someone tell me where these settings are?

Thanks!

Charlie

I recently moved as well. I have updated my contact information, my info is set to my contact info, and I have restarted the phone, both power off and hard reset. The phone still thinks my old address is the correct one even after I've deleted that address from my contacts entirely.

Any ideas?

In Contacts, there will be a single entry that has the word "me" next to the name (should be your name). This is where iPhone Maps gets your home and work addresses, if you have the addresses correctly entered as "home" and "work" addresses. I had those tags reversed, so when I used the iPhone Maps to navigate "home", it was creating a route to take me to work. 😠

You have to designate which entry in your Contacts is you by doing the following: Settings-> Mail Contacts and Calendars -> Scroll down for Contacts Section->My Info. Now just tap on the entry that is you, and your name will appear next to "My Info."

Old thread in case it helps someone... After finding that none of the above worked for me I discovered that my work address had one number wrong on the Work zip code. This would send me to a totally wrong location every time I clicked on Work. Doh!

Second, if you have a few wrong address in your Favorites, you need to clear that because Maps will be tempted to send you back there. TO do that on ios9, I found the following:

Use Maps on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Clear your recents

  1. Open Maps.
  2. Tap the address bar.
  3. Tap Favorites > Recents > Clear > Clear All Recents.
  4. Tap Done.
