convert 25fps to 24fps using Cinema tools or Compressor?

Hello all,

I have a completed video file that is: 25fps, 1080p h264 video codec with a .mov container.

I will be converting this down to standard def and into 24fps for authoring onto a dvd

So what is the best program to use for the first step of converting the frame rate?

Compressor or cinema tools? What is the step by step process?

And the audio pitch, where/ how do you change it to +4.17 ??

Final Cut Pro 7, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

I did the confrom in Compressor and it worked PERFECTLY- no audio delay/syncing issues, no pitch changes, video of the duration stayed the same, and there is no need to de-interlace.

Victory.

oh by the way.... it took 20 hours! But at least it worked- take that PAL!

Here was my settings

QUICKTIME: APP PRO RES 422

Settings for frame control:

Resize Filter- Best (statistical prediction)

Output Fields- Same as Source

Deinterlace- Best (motion compensated)

adaptive details box- checked

anti-alias & details levels dials- both at 0

Rate Conversion - Best (high quality motion comp)

Set duration to: 100% of source

Geometry

Frame size: 100% of Source
