My ical events showing up as "new events" on my ipad and iphone when synced with exchange?

I have the same problem. Apple really screwed up with Lion - a bunch of cosmetic nonsense along with a bunch of serious bugs in core functionalities. I will call support tomorrow and let you know what the result is.

Does the same for me .. It has caused me to not know where or what is coming up .. so bad that I am using outlook for my calendering.

This is becoming a serious issue and making me look sloppy. No word on a fix?

I have noticed that syncing between my phone, iPad, and Outlook web client (i.e. the Exchange server) appears to be working fine, though. Create an appointment on the iphone or iPad and it is faithfully pushed to the others.

It's iCal that appears to be the problem - somehow losing the event title and plugging in "New Event" instead. And it affects only a small percentage of the events I create. Maddening. I may have to flip to Outlook.

I can confirm it's an iCal issue and I also think everything worked fine when Lion was released. Maybe it's related to one of the recent update.

Anyway, yes I also have the same problem. iCal does not play nicely with my Exchange account. Everything else is synced properly, so I guess the best solution will be to just drop Exchange and start using iCloud services... I know it's not the best option ever, but iCal is essential to me. So unless someone finds a solution...

I have the same problem. Would love to switch to iCloud. But I'm working for an pc oriented company. and I can't make everyone switching to mac.

I hope they will solve the issue soon. it's a really big problem as I've to manage something like 5/6 meeting per day.

Someone did fix it already? Suggestion on how to have someone from apple to look at this?

I set up my accounts, calendars, and tasks in Outlook 2010. Problem solved. My next computer will have an operating system from a software company that takes productivity seriously.

Having the same issue with iCal, adding events with details and then they revert back to being titled "New Event". VERY frustrating.

Also, when I add a contact in the address book in Lion, it doesn't sync and show up on the iphone or ipad address books. This is with using the Exchange back end...

Anyone else on this?

Noticed something interesting today. If I create a new event in iCal, then immediately refresh the calendar, you can see right away whether the event (i.e. "Dentist Appt") has been re-titled to "New Event". It only happens to me with sporadic events.

If you then correct iCal's gaffe by re-entering the correct event title, the edits appear to stick (and push faithfully to iPad/iPhone).

So I've reverted to refreshing the calendar every time I add a new event (sigh). Apple needs to fix this ASAP.

I am experiencing the exact same behavior. Lion 10.7.2, Exchange 2010, random new events do NOT sync and are instead renamed "New Event" after entering them in only from iCal. Works fine on iPad and iPhone.

Please fix!

I'm experiencing the same problem (Lion 10.1.2, Exchange 2010), but only when I enter the event in iCal on my Mac, and then only randomly for some events. If I enter the appointment from my iPhone, or repair "New Event" appointments from my iPhone, all is good. For now, all my calendar work happens on my iPhone.

Sloppy. How does simple stuff like this slip out?

Having the same issue. This isn't funny. I rely on my calendar for everything. I now have meetings for 2012 showing up as 'new events'. I haven't a clue what they are. Apple, sort this out. I've been using macs since the late 80s, and this is pretty much the single most detrimental **** up you've let slip through the net as far as productivity is concerned.
