who have problems after ios5.0.1 updated?

Hi. I have the same problem since the ios 5.0.1 update there is no network on my iphone 4. The battery is draining slightly faster than before. Please Apple help!

I got two problems.

One is failing to make and receive calls due to no network and the other is that contacts don't appear on the phone while receiving calls and texting.

Should I update IOS 5.0.2 when it is available?

Is there any guarantee IOS 5.0.2 will have no bugs?

We are all in the same boat. No service on the signal strengh meter, No Network indication and on top of that battery problems. Sure Apple update fixed the battery problems with their 5.0.1 update by making sure one cannot use the phone for calling , text and receiving. I spoke to Apple just now and they went hrough a process of how I should do a complete reset. Hey we are not all engineers and if a phone cost this amount of moey should one gamble with a "maybe" it will work after a reset???

The only reason I updated was because it said it fixed the battery issue.. But it didnt. It made the battery worse. The whole operating system is chugging - even when there is only one app running.

I'm also not impressed with the new retro feel they seem to have added to my music player.. Now my music sounds like I'm listening to it on vinyl - complete with crackling and skipping.. And typing this reply the keyboard is lagging like crazy..

Is there no way to send feedback for the iOS like there is for apps? Or is this it? Because it doesn't appear they learn much from these forums..

I don't have many issues with my update but I do have one major one. After the update it messed up my contacts. When I receive phone calls I am only seeing numbers and no names. But all of these numbers I am receiving are already attached to a person saved in my address book.

12 hours of low usage on silent/wifi/3G, 4 texts and 9 iMessage, 2 emails sent, no browser activity or camera etc due to being busy now on 35% battery, before update I was usually aroung 60+% easily.

At one point, my iMessages stored in conversation wiped off to only the first and last, then restored shortly after.

Tempted to use my Applecare as its unusable if it cant survive a working day where it's hardly used. iPhone 4, bought on launch day so the battery could be on it's last legs, on nearly every charge the battery is calibrated (turned off due to drain then fully charged).

I'm having all sorts of ******* problems with 5.0.1, I can't even get my Iphone 3Gs to downgrade back to either 5.0 or 4.3.5. This is reallys tarting to ******* **** me off. It seems ever since dude died APPLE has gone stupid. Anyone out there that can help please let me in on some information. When I first got 5.0.1 I couldnt even do videos anymore, now my Apps that ive downloaded wont even pop up.

After I upgraded to 5.0.1 my Itunes freezes up during the backup. I can no longer access the Itunes store. My phone seems to work ok but I cannot backup or restore. My first thoughts are that my Windows 7 is not compatible with the upgrade. Could this be true?

same here. After updating to ios 5.0.1 (using iPhone 3GS) I've been unable to use my iPhone as a modem to my Macbook via USB-cable (only via Bluetooth). ITunes recognizes the phone but the phone can't be used as a modem via USB-cable. Definitely we need 5.0.2 to fix these bugs.

When is Apple going to fix the issues of iOS 5.0.1? I have an iPad 2 and an iPhone 4 and my wireless is horrible after the update. I didn't have a battery issue until the update. This is getting frustrated as I need wireless for both devices. Does anyone have this problem? Does anyone know when a fix to the fix will arrive?

Since update, 49 items will not update from iTunes to the iPhone, the error message says to check in iTunes but there is no info there when I go to iTunes.

(I have the ancient G3s (not quite 2 yrs old) but worked fine before this update! AND my contacts are unusable. They do show up when I go into my address book, I can scroll, but when I try to chose a contact, it just locks up the contacts screen & nothing happens. I have to just return to the main screen. The contacts are apparently not syncing between mac.com & my devices either. Names & recent corrections are not showing up on the phone.

Battery drain does seem worse too. I am using a Mac & have mac.com, disappointed with this turn of events. We are also noticing a lot of calls being dropped or not coming through until they show up as a voice mail.

After update, signal lost its strength to 1 bar, no incoming calls, outgoing calls work 50% of the time approx, no incoming SMS, outgoing SMS ok, IS THIS OKAY?

Exactly the same issue, battery "seems" ok now with IOS 5.0.1 but no network, sim error every few hours/minutes.....

Hope Apple are aware of this and will quickly correct it on 5.02 !!

Similar issues. I lose 3G signal down to edge. Spent a day on edge thinking a network problem. Did a hard reboot and on 3G again.

Texting for 20minutes on 3 g yesterday and the back of phone became moderately hot. I could feel it thru case.

Battery is mediocre. Turned everything off to get thru day. Tried last two days following threads and changing resetting. etc.

My wife's iphone4 great battery life and it's a year old. When my 4s is a year old it will be useless.

Huge apple fan. Not thrilled with this 4s phone yet.
