iPhone 4S is loosing connection with Carrier after iOS5 update

Hello,

I've yesterday update iOS 5.0.1. I did it directly in phone without iTunes.

Today I've recognized a issue - my iPhone is loosing connection with Carrier.

I bought phone directly from Apple and using it in T-Mobile Czech republic network.

The status bar show only Search... or No Service

I'm in area where others have good signal including 3G. Also my iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4S before upgrade works well.

I have to switch off the phone (5sec. push of sleep button) and start again to find Carrier.

The switch to Plane mode and back doesn't work.

Manual choice of carrier doesn't work even I can see and choice T-Mobile - still no service

I need to revert iOS update to be able to use my phone. Please help me with this.

Thanks

Best Regards

Jirka

Good News!

I just got a call from Luxgsm, my provider here in Luxembourg.

They told me that starting this afternoon, they will replace SIM cards with some that will work on iPhones with 5.0.1.

They told me it was because of a security check the old SIMs do incorrectly using 5.0.1

I suppose that other operators around the world will receive instructions directly from Apple now how to solve the problems customers have.

Luxgsm has been working with Apple to solve this problem.

I still wonder why they keeo problems like this so secret. They should communicate more so that people know what is happening!

Hi. I'm from Indonesia, on XL network, using 4S. Was working fine on 5.0 and went totally wrong after upgrading to 5.0.1. I upgraded my sim card from the cut one to the microsim. It doesnt solve the problem.

Unfortunately, 4S has not been officially launched here in Indonesia. So the operator have no clue about this problem. The only solution for me is to switch provider (my friend 4S' working fine on Telkomsel & 5.0.1) or wait for a firmware update. I'm hoping for the second solution.. for apple to fix this problem soon

Hi everyone.

My name is Marina, I'm 19, I'm from Brazil and I don't even own a 4S. Mine is just the plain ol' 4.

And I am having the EXACT SAME PROBLEMS as you guys. I've called my carrier (TIM Brasil) four times since yesterday and they gave me a 5 day deadline to contact me and tell me if it is their issue or if it is my phone.

I'm done with this. Seriously. I'm about to throw my phone off the window and buy a Blackberry.

My signal wasn't very good before the update (never more than 4 bars of signal), but after I did it, my iPhone seems like an iPod. No one can call me, I don't recieve any text messages and my voicemail is messed up too. Plus, the signal bars jump from 5 to 1 without even touching the phone!

I swear I'm going to get rid of this phone. And I'm not even going to give it to another person, because that would be just cruel. I'm going to smash it so hard untill my anger goes away. I'm done with this BS.

Oh, btw, for those who didn't know: An iPhone 4(NOT the 4S, the 4!) costs R$1700,00 in Brazil, which is about US$950.00 in USA. Seriously, how do you expect me to feel after spending this amount of money on something that does as much for me as a calculator?

P.S.:Sorry for any misspelling.
