iOS 5.0.1 problems- list here

Waited for an hour and I wouldn't stop saying "Waiting for items to copy" when I sync on iTunes. Plus, I can't charge my iPod Touch with my iHome. 😟

Try updating from ur iPod Touch worked for meh.

Settings - General - Software Update

Should pop up iOS 5.0.1. Tap download and install.

I did mine OTA - I set up my Android phone as a wi-fi hotspot and downloaded from there.

Phones battery is dying twice fast compare with pervious version on iso5. How do I go back to pervious of iso5. 5.01 don't dowload if think it helps ur battery

For me no battery life issues at all while using iOS5 UNTIL the 5.0.1 update!!!!! Now the battery goes dead within hours when NOT using the device!!! Looks like Apple has a bigger security breach than they thought! Different issues re battery for different users!

I updated my wife's iPod Touch 4th Gen to iOS 5 and here are the problems:

- She downloads audio books from a site through the local library (Audiobooks on EBSCOhost) and now the iPod will not sync the new downloads.

- I'm also having issues with Wi-Fi

I've already installed the new 5.0.1 update and the issues still persist.

Right now im on ios5 and its perfect im not having any issues so far im just gonna wait and not gonna update to 5.0.1 and wait untill a firmware that has no problems.

Artwork isn't showing on my itouch 3g.I have added the artwork mutiple times manually and automatic and when I disconnect my itouch from my computer the artwork disappears.It's really fusturating,I hope this get's fix,It was a bug on the 5.0 ios and the lastest update 5.0.1 ios has not fixed it.😟

Same Problems here in Switzerland...

iPad2, iPhone 4G, iPhone 3GS all won't sync - neither OTA or USB.

MacBook (SL, current) just turns for 1-2 minutes, before the error message about "Starting Sync..."

Fix urgent!

I AM HAVING ALL THE PROBLEMS LISTED BY OTHERS AND MY IPHONE 4 WILL NONLONGER HOLD A CHARGE! FOR MONTHS MY BATTERY HAS BEEN FINE ALWAYS HOLDING A CHARGE THROUGH WORK, I HAVE AN IPHONE 4 SO BATTERY WAS NEVER A PROBLEM NOW IT'S BEEN 4 HOURS AT WORK SINCE 100% CHARGE AND HAVE NOT USED THE PHONE AT ALL, WENT TO CHECK TIME AND IT WAS AT 16%!!! JUST TYPING THIS RESPONSE IT HAS DROPPED FROM 16% to 10%!!! THIS IS BEYOND REDICULOUS! THIS PHONE WAS AT 100% AND IS STILL DROPPING ABOUT TO DIE AFTER ONLY FOUR HOURS AND DROPPED 6% IN TYPING NOW ALONE! WON'T SYNC, ARTWORK GONE, A TON OF OTHER ISSUES PHONE WON'T HOLD CHARGE ABOUT TO DIE NOW FIX IMMEDIATELY GOING TO APPLE STORE AND GIVING THEM ****! 8% ALL IM DOING IS TYPING!

It's like ever since Steve died, Apple is throwing out half-baked not even thought out updates which are ruining his devices. When Steve was around, we had quiality, or at least things were fixed quickly, I'm glad he can't see how poorly his company is doing now and the crappy quality of the things they are thoughtlessly releasing. I'm on my iPad 2 using 4.x still because I don't want to mess it up with anymore of these horrible updates. My iPhone is completely useless now. I had to turn it off, I hadn't used the phone all day since it was unplugged at 100% earlier and went to check the time and it had magically drained to 16%! I hadn't even used the phone all day! It's always held such a good charge, I had an iphone 4 which means I never had any battery problems to begin with, now it wont hold a charge! As I was typing that earlier replu it drained from 16% to 8% before my very eyes while I was using it and I had to turn it off before it died! How ridiculous IS that?! NOT ONLY THAT MY IPHONE NO LONGER SYNCS! What good is my phone if I can't sync it and there are so many other things wrong with my phone now (although it seems I can't even use it because it wont hold a charge) it's not even funny! This needs to be fixed immedieately because as of right now, I have no phone! I'm glad Steve can't see how shabby Apple has collapsed into in a mere few weeks.

Newsstand will still not go into a folder. Even the trick in 5.0 of creating a new folder and then "forcing" in the newsstand icon into it no longer works in 5.0.1

After the iOS5 update..not only does wifi not work AT ALL..but my iPod was completely restored with no record of a back-up! Over 3000 songs and numerous pictures were deleted and I had to completely start over from scratch! The apple rep was really sorry about my loss!

What an insanely stupid thing to say, and you're not the first. I've also seen posts stating that if Steve we're alive he wouldn't have allowed the release of the 4S...did you know Steve personally? Do you have some insight into his psyche that none other has? The phone was developed while he was alive, he (I'm assuming as I didn't know him) had such an amount of creative control in Apple (as witnessed by many) that I'm sure he had much to do with the 4S...and although I don't own too many apple products, have they even "thrown out" many updates? I think just one, right? Where do you get off ..another pick at you..."or at least things were fixed quickly" ummm no they were not, remember the I4 antenna issue, not until taking a beating in the press did they even admit something was wrong...I'm quite sure Steve was not the only one working on the 4S...I don't even know where to start with someone like you and such a stupid statement...I'd like to think the forums can be used for apple fans to help figure out the problems, get them fixed and keep the iPhone where it belongs, in the front of the pack, blathering idiots such as yourself should strive to keep your comments to yourself unless you can offer something constructive...as for your phone, I'm thinking you have to be smarter than the phone itself, I think it’s a reach personally, but in this forum you might find some help, if you learn first how to be respectful

I'll agree with everyone that there seems to be a serious issue with the battery, I'll agree that this is a big investment in the cell phone world when you can get droids for free, I have plenty of issues with Apple and some of their products, but I'm at the point where these forums are worthless as it takes way too long to wade through all of the garbage to find the very few constructive, helpful posts, to those of you I say Thanks!!! I appreciate it, to the rest of you who follow in the footsteps of steph here....get a grip, take a breath, go to the apple store or get on with tech support, or take a good long look at your phone and make sure you haven't done something really stupid that is compounding the problem....let’s all try and figure this out instead of just complaining about the exact same thing...if everyone simply sent a constructive email to apple, I'm sure it would get resolved faster....

Here's a new one for this thread. Following one of the frequent crashes that happen with 5.0/5.01 I found that a whole bunch of apps had jumped out of their folders and distributed themselves at random on various pages!

This OS is very unstable and I regret upgrading. Should have waited to read the forum:)
