We are in the same place. Wife's phone was fully charged. Went to bed and when she got up it was at 50%.

NONE OF THE ABOVE. Untill APPLE fixes it..HERE IS A VALID treatment (Not a cure) ..

If you want to actually WATCH it work via decreased batt use..get SYS ACTIVITY Manager Plus..

But this is INNATE in your phone.

FOLKS ...there is a way you can stop 'running' programs from draining your batteries.

Remember that area below home screen that shows 'last 4 run programs?

You get there by double clicking home button. If you press on an icon, they wiggle

and a little RED - circle comes up. Press the RED - and ICON /program is turned off.

..TURN THEM ALL OFF! It wont affect your reuse of any app direct from home screen.

Even my SYS ACTIVITY montor said I had App Store and fb running when I hadn't used them

in hours. By turning them off with this HOME Button they are now OFF OFF and in fact were

removed from my 'running applications' list on SYS ACTIVITY.( I tested by turning CAMERA on

then off.) Sure enough it showed up in 'running applications'.. and popped up in the bottom list.

Pushing its RED button..removed it from running apps list!

Now I know we shouldn't have to do this ..but no matter. It does work. Keep that screen cleared!

I did that and have had NO BATT drain for over an hour!.

Keep posting folks and/or go to longer threads if you haven't found answer here.

I see today that Samsungs are way outselling Apples so... people may have got wind of this.

Not quite sure why the new, but incompetent, admin of Apple haven't answered our threads.

Keep hearing from techy peeps. that 6.2 may fix or 7 may fix but won't be out for year.

I love my APPLE products had one since 1984..and I won't give up w/o a fight!

(PS I know I have an EVERNOTE problem too. If it helps after I get it fixed will let you all know.)

Try deleting your mail accounts, restarting your phone, and then reinstalling your accounts. This was shared from another user, I tried it, it worked for me. My phone has been holding steady at 92% (this is where I disconnected it from the power source) with apps open(Safari, Mail, Music) for the last 45 mins. I am happy. Try it.

I read everything online. Deleting IMAP mail settings, google calendars, this and that etc. I even got a brand new battery installed. But nothing helped. The battery went from 100% to 40% in 4 hours.

So in the end I installed a clean iOS, and started out from scratch. Not restoring to the backup. After the first boot it looked like there were a lot of processes running, and that the problem was still there. But I guess it has to do with first-run operations, such as indexing spotlight and what-not? Because an hour later or so it seemed like it was fixed. It was fully charged by lunch, and now 11 hours later it's down to 63% with some normal use. It's fixed!!

This has me thinking that there are processes in the operating system that can get caught in a bad loop. Some operations that just won't finish. Stuff that won't be fixed in a software update. And stuff that cannot be fixed since iOS is a locked system. Clean install for the win.

A couple of weeks from now I guess iOS 7 is coming out. It's probably a good idea to start from scratch every time you update to a new OS. I think that's what I'll be doing.
