Unsupported format after burning on DVD Player

I burn many discs on iDVD and always do it the same way - I have found that a few of the discs are unable to be read on my player after burning. So some work fine and some cannot be read in the Player. I get the message "Unsupported Format" on my player. Any suggestions?

Does it have audio when played with the DVD Player on the Mac?

i was just copying a DVD - I didn't really do anything to it. sound should be there. I do this all the time and it works fine - doesn't iDVD usually do everything for you? (for the most part?)

it's now an iDVD project and no it doesn't have sound in iDVD
