iTunes match made my music "Clean"

I uploaded albums to iTunes from CDs that weren't censored to be clean, they were all explicit and no words were beeped out. Yesterday, I decided to upgrade those songs (smart playlist of less than 256 and icloud has it matched, then delete and redownload), but the versions iTunes redownloaded were clean and words are beeped. Is there any way to get my originals back or the explicit version back? Its really annoying to listen to a song and have half the words beeped out.

I made a seperate archive of my entire library just before starting to fool around with Match. I've had my library screwed up too many times in the past by something and needing a full restore.

Right now it looks like that's already happening since some of the matched items refuse to download. I better start checking my files that did download for "clean"ness.

I noticed this as well, the album in question was Beastie Boys Hot Sauce Committee Part 2. The odd thing is that if you check this album in the iTunes store they don't have a clean version available, yet if you download the album through iTunes to upgrade to 256 Kpbs or download to an iOS device you get the clean version of some of the songs replacing the explicit original.

I'm sure I have other albums where this could happen, this is just the one I noticed so far.

A similar thing has happened to songs in my library. I have all of my originals saved on my laptop, but when I chose to download a selection of songs on my iPhone, they showed up editied. Frustrating. iTunes Match has caused more problems than solutions for me. (The most recent I noticed was an entire DMX album. Half the words in the some songs are bleeped out).

I too have gone through some of the songs to verify this problem. For sure all of my DMX music has come back clean when I download through the cloud (my versions are definitely explicit). However, when I check Dr. Dre "the Chronic" album, all songs downloaded from the cloud with explicit lyrics. So how is match being so random? Why is some music matched with explicit lyrics and some with clean? This is clearly unnaceptable. Is there a way to dictate to match that I'd rather have my original uploaded vs "matched" to their crappy clean version of a song?

There has to be some fix to this...
